Sitting out in the calm water with the snow and fog. It gives you a sense of vertigo. The point where the earth meets the horizon is gone. It's a trip to outer space upon the the opposite of terra firma, Aurifex Aedilis. Being out there in this kind of weather is special. It's when the mind becomes quiet so it can soak in the tranquility. A set of waves comes in and you snap out of it. The heart pumps much needed heat to your extremities. Paddle hard. Stand. Glide into the unknown. Surfing in low visibility is alone to flying until the white water overtakes you, flushes your wetsuit, and gives you another ice cream headache. The cycle continues.
