The fringing trees along the edge of the Zambezi River made a beautiful backdrop for this White Fronted Bee-eater. The White Fronted Bee-eater is without question one of the most beautiful birds in Southern Africa. He was calmly sitting on a broken stump at the edge of the water.
I took the image with a Canon 7D Mark II with EF 200-400 mm f/4L IS II USM EXT lens. The exposure settings were 1/500 sec, f/5.6, ISO 400, 400 mm. I used a monopod for support.
