Giraffic Sunset 1

One of the nicknames for the Nyrere National Park in Tanzania if "Giraffic Park." Once you visit you can see why. It seems like there are giraffes everywhere you look. As rainy as it was during our visit in November 2023, the breaks between rain squalls produced some amazing skies, especially at sunset.

It was getting pretty dark when I took this picture, but the end of the sunset was amazing as the giraffe walked across the horizon.

A special thanks is due to our Asilia Roho ya Selous Guide Goodluck, His "mudder" driving skills were the only thing that kept us from bogging down to the axles in the nearly impassable black cotton mud.

I took the image with a Canon EOS R6 with a Canon 200-400 F4L IS USM 1.4 EXT lens, f4.5, 1/1600 sec, 200 mm, ISO 5000, handheld.
