The Eiffel Tower

The engineer and entrepreneur, and the iron and metal expert Alexandre Gustave Eiffel, primarily wanted to continue to build the public transport in Paris and France. In the 1880s, however, Paris wanted it differently. Eiffel was commissioned to create an attraction in connection with the World Exhibition in Paris as a tribute to the 100th anniversary of the French Revolution. And an attraction it was... The 300 meter high tower is one of the world's most visited sights ever.
