This young model asked me to produce a series of photographs in order to update her comp card. After finishing the session which I shot on Kodachrome 64, I thought I'd try something different. So I loaded the camera with Ektachrome 1600, a film I rarely used except to achieve certain effects. Earlier on I had discovered that this film because of its high grain was capable of producing a rather painterly look and that if slightly overexposed the grain could be smoothed out to produce rather attractive high-key images while still retaining that soft 'painted' look.
