I met this (lila-breasted) Forked Roller busy with its breakfast when I came back from breakfast in our camp on the Namibian side of the Chobe river. Unfortunately, the bird first swallowed the little frog before he flew off and perched in a tree. Therefore, I do have a series of photos with the bird and the frog on a fence as well as with the bird in a tree, but without the poor frog or - more precisely - with the frog inside the bird.
A fantastic animal portrait. The colors are very well represented and the image sharpness is exactly where it should be, namely on the important details. The main subject is also very well isolated from the background. Amazing photo Greetings Herbert
Thanks for commenting and liking the bird portrait. It is my favourite shot of an about four weeks long trip through the northern parts of Namibia.
