Carmine Spints at Sunset

The Kwando river was THE surprise on our tour through the Caprivi area of Namibia this year. Less well-known compared to the Chobe or the Okavango river it is really worth-while to visit. During our boat tours on the river we saw way more hippos, crocodiles, carmine spints (hundreds), waterbocks, ... than on our other boat tours on the Chobe or Okavango. Especially the first sundowner tour was kind of magic. The only drawback were temperatures above 40° [Celsius] during the day without any kind airconditioning available.
