Torrey Pines Reserve in Fog

183mm · f/14 · 1/1250 · ISO 640

Taken in December 2024 when the beaches of California often have the marine layer or fog covering the coastal region. This is a view from the top of the sandstone cliffs looking south towards the town of La Jolla. I chose to edit it in b&w for a more dramatic effect. Camera was Canon 5D Mark IV and a Canon 70-200 mm L lens.

absolutely stunning and atmospheric peeling through the layers of fog

I love the mood in this image Christina. Your choice of B&W really highlights the depth of the image.

I learned to just try b&w after editing a color landscape. So often the b&w works much better to my surprise. Thank you, Alan.
