The Californian Sails Around Pt. Loma Lighthouse

The original Point Loma Lighthouse is a historic lighthouse located on the Point Loma peninsula at the mouth of San Diego Bay in San Diego, California. It is situated within Cabrillo National Monument. It is no longer in operation as a lighthouse but is open to the public as a museum.

Sailing around it is The Californian, which continues to serve as a sailing school and educational vessel and takes part in many festivities, ceremonies, and events in the Pacific and Atlantic regions.

Christina, very cool and pretty, but what is just off the starboard stern of the California, a rock or small boat?

It's a small boat following him. There usually are a number of boats around the Tall Ships. I thought of cropping him out but it gives some perspective of the size of the ship.

I agree with your decision not to crop or clone it out, I was just curious.

A great photograph and reminder of how beautiful the Golden State of California is...
