Beautiful and experienced model Christine on visit to my studio. I set up a standard white silhouette set-up using my white wall and white platform base. The wall is cross-lit with two medium soft boxes. The model was lit with a single large softbox to the side. I used large sheets of black Foamcor to maintain contrast and prevent flare.
I use a method for metering this set up is to establish the model position and take one incident meter reading of the background and another incident reading at the same position but facing the main light hitting the model. I have found if the background incident reading is 1/2 stop hotter than the main light it will produce a bright white for the silhouette.
The model is posing on a hand made stool designed by my brother which I had borrowed for a fashion shoot earlier in the week. The image was captured with my Nikon D810 and Zeiss 85mm f1.4 ZF.2.
