Medieval Costume Fashion

Costume fashion shoot with one of my favorite models ever, Nadia K. The assignment was to shoot a medieval style costume for sewing pattern company. I have a computer-painted backdrop which fortunately had similar coloring and complementary style. Lighting choice was intended to create a beautiful glow. Main light is a Plume Wafter 200 to camera right creating side 'Rembrandt' effect. A small Chimera SuperPro placed camera left and behind the model firing at the opposite angle as the main light to create a separation effect. This is one of my favorite setups for fashion lighting. The main light shadow is controlled by a 4x8' Foamcor reflector.

The image was captured with my Nikon D810 using the 85mm PCE perspective control lens. I used the tilt control to alter the focus plane. The effect is a compressed plane of focus which kept the model's face and the dress front while the rest of the image quickly drops out of focus.
