When setting up a shoot for a client, it is important to have clear communication among all parties involved in the shoot. Once the shoot is over, however, communication about how the deliverables are to be prepared is just as important. To make this communication as smooth as possible, Adobe has announced a new tool that will be added to Photoshop.
The new feature, Live Co-Editing, facilitates collaboration among creators, editors, clients, and decision-makers worldwide. This feature will allow invited parties to simultaneously access and edit Photoshop documents using their own computers. Adobe anticipates this tool will streamline communication and improve creative collaborations among creators.
Using Live Co-Editing, retouching and design tasks can be split among team members, with one person assigned a task such as retouching a person's skin in a photograph, while another team member adds graphic elements to the image. Creators can share works in progress with clients and solicit feedback in real time without leaving Photoshop. Students learning Photoshop in a classroom setting can follow along as a teacher demonstrates techniques. The teacher can also watch from their computer as a student edits a document.
Decision-makers can post feedback on an image or document in Photoshop so that all communication regarding the project can be addressed in one setting rather than creating a lengthy chain of emails.
Creators interested in testing this new feature can sign up to test Live Co-Editing.
