Adobe Brings Photoshop to iPhone, Expanding Mobile Editing Capabilities

Adobe has announced the launch of Photoshop on iPhone, bringing its well-known image editing tools to mobile users. The app is designed to provide a streamlined, mobile-first experience while retaining essential Photoshop features such as layering, masking, and Adobe Firefly-powered AI tools. An Android version is expected later in 2025.

Alongside the mobile app, Adobe is also expanding Photoshop on the web, offering a more integrated experience for users who work across different devices. Both the mobile and web versions are now included in existing Photoshop plans.

Features and Capabilities

Photoshop on iPhone offers a range of core tools tailored for mobile creators, including:

  • Layering, masking, and blending for composite image creation
  • The Tap Select tool for quick object selection, recoloring, or removal
  • Advanced removal tools like the Spot Healing Brush
  • AI-powered generative tools from Adobe Firefly, including Generative Fill and Generative Expand
  • Integration with Adobe Express, Adobe Fresco, and Adobe Lightroom
  • Access to a library of free Adobe Stock assets

In addition, the new ovides more advanced features, including:

  • Photoshop Mobile and Web plan prSeamless transition between mobile and web versions
  • Expanded access to Firefly-powered AI tools
  • A selection of more than 20,000 fonts, with support for additional imports
  • Precision selection tools such as Object Select and Magic Wand
  • Content-Aware Fill for removing objects seamlessly
  • Advanced blend modes for color and transparency control

Pricing and Availability

Photoshop on iPhone is free to download, with an optional Photoshop Mobile and Web plan available for $7.99 per month or $69.99 per year. This plan includes additional mobile features, access to Photoshop on the web, and premium tools.

Current Photoshop subscribers already have access to Photoshop on iPhone, Photoshop on iPad, and Photoshop on the web at no additional cost.

The app is now available for download on the Apple App Store, while the Android version is expected to launch later this year.
