A good sky edit can make a big difference in your viewer's perception of your image (whether landscape, outdoor portrait, or something else), but of course, just like any other edit, it can be easy to go a bit overboard and cross the line between vibrant and gaudy. A good trick I like to use is to finish an edit, then step away from my computer for a few minutes and come back with a fresh set of eyes to evaluate it one more time before I export.
