- Two aspherical elements and three high refractive index elements for reduced spherical aberrations and distortion and better sharpness
- Reduced radial glare for better point light source rendering when used for astrophotography
- HD Nano multi-layer coating for less flares and ghosting and deeper contrast
- STM stepping motor for quick and quiet autofocus with full-time manual focus override and Eye-AF support
- Integrated aperture ring
- Nine-blade diaphragm for smoother bokeh
