The GFX 100S is quite the interesting camera, offering almost everything that comes with the GFX 100 (aside from the built-in grip) at about half the price. On the other hand, the GF 35-70mm f/4.5-5.6 WR is relatively affordable as far as medium format lenses go, and with a 28-55mm equivalent range, it is quite useful for a range of applications. It is particularly well suited to landscape photography, where a wide aperture is not as necessary as other genres and the cost and weight savings from that narrower aperture will definitely be appreciated, particularly on long hikes.
