Cribs Tour via FPV Drone With Mr. Steele

With drones becoming more and more mainstream, people are doing some new and interesting things that require a lot of skill and control. In this video, Mr. Steele, an FPV freestyle pilot and the owner of Ethix, takes us on a ride through his house on one of his 5" custom builds.

Personally after flying FPV myself, this is not something I would yet be ready to attempt. These FPV drones can be very powerful (especially with a 6s battery) and fast which makes them harder to fly slow in tight spaces. However, with a lot of practice flying and some skill from over the years, Steele shows us that it is in fact possible to maneuver one of these drones in such a way. After watching this video, I wondered if he was on a drone with ducted props because of how smooth and steady the footage looked (for FPV) but after watching the "How It's Made" video, I learned I was wrong.

As drones continue to become more mainstream, skilled, creative pilots and even newcomers will find new uses for them. In the world of filming and photography, I really believe these drones have unlimited potential for new filming applications because they can literally move anywhere in space. FPV drones may be stronger, faster and more responsive than DJI drones, yet they are also harder to learn about, control and understand from the start. In the video below, Steele explains his setup and what he did to create this video.

Currently, this industry is working on figuring out how to stabilize the footage and make it look more cinematic and natural. That even includes removing the sound of the props from the action cam to add in natural ambience so it sounds like we are just hovering through a space. Mr. Steele blew my mind with this one just showing the amount of precision control he has over a quad with so much power. I know he will produce more awesome FPV content and even motivate other pilots to join in and do the same.

FPV has been around for years but the evolution has just begun. What are your thoughts on FPV?
