About the workshop

So what is the Fstoppers Workshops?  This year between May 13-17 we will have 10 of the top educational photographers each teaching two, 2-day workshops.  The courses being taught include all sorts of genres including Fashion, Beauty, Headshots, Weddings, Architecture and Interiors, Swimwear, Commercial and Advertising, and everything in-between.  Each class is very small with only 10-20 students which makes this experience not only super hands on but also extremely personal. You can check out all the instructors and classes being taught on the Workshop Class Page.

What makes the Fstoppers Workshops so unique from other workshops is it is held at the amazing Atlantis Resort.  Atlantis is home to one of the largest water parks in the world, several amazing 5 star restaurants, mulitple bars and night clubs, dolphin and water excursions, and a huge casino.  Since every student is staying in this one resort, this workshop makes it super easy to not only make new friends but also makes for a great learning environment where students and teachers can hangout after each class has wrapped up for the day.  So no matter if you are looking to build a vacation with your significant other, family, or friends, this workshop is the perfect mix of work and pleasure.  Check out some of the fun stuff Lee and I did at Atlantis during our down time in the video below.

Last year's event was an amazing experience, and it has been unbelievable seeing how these courses have affected the photographers who have attended.  If you have any questions about the 2015 Fstoppers Workshops in general, head over to our FAQ Page on the Workshop Page or check out the FAQ video Lee and I created below.  Good luck to everyone and hopefully we will see you down in paradise!

Up in Canada, we dont have the luxury of shooting on nice beaches, so id really love to take Joey Wrights's workshop to learn a bit more about shooting outdoors in his on location swimwear workshop.

Peter Hurley for instructor and the class would be his The Headshot Intensive

I would go to Monte Isom - Advertising Gigs: How To Get Them, How To Shoot Them. To learn and improve my ad shooting skills.

I think Erik Valind's on-location portraiture and lifestyle photography would be the most interesting and the most beneficial for my career. However, i wouls also be so thrilled to attend Joe Wright's swimwear class!

Joey Wright's – On location swimwear photography, to learn how to improve the whole process from pre, to post production

I would love join Julia Kuzmenko McKim - Beauty Studio Photography class.

Ah man I would love to learn from the fstoppers guys at this workshop. Take my new skills back to south africa. Think the ERIK VALIND – ON-LOCATION PORTRAITURE AND LIFESTYLE PHOTOGRAPHY seems most interesting.

I would go to Mike Kelley - Interior @ exteriors workshops and Peter Hurley illuminating the face intensive that will be really awesome! Thanks!

Aaron Nace's Photography & Compsiting Essentials. I love his work and they tutorials that he puts out for free on YouTube, I have learnt a lot just by watching him so it would be awesome to meet him to first off say "Thanks" and then to learn in person from him

Having us pick from these great instructors is torture :p But i managed to narrow it down to Julia Kuzmenko McKim – Beauty Studio Photography & Retouching. And as the grand price: Joey Wright – On Location Swimwear Photography :)

aaron nace's compositing class! i'm aaron nace's biggest fan! well acording to my weight :P also composite image are really rare among photographer in my country . and it will really really help my business a lot to learn from the best. it will boost my creativity to deliver what my client want from me. i'm surely will register to his class if the total cost are not too expensive for me. gee i'm so excited

I would love to take Julia Kuzmenko McKim's workshop-this is my first choice. :) Pye Jirsa's Wedding & Portrait Photography would be my 2nd choice.

JULIA KUZMENKO MCKIM – BEAUTY STUDIO PHOTOGRAPHY & RETOUCHING 5/16 !
My education in commercial photography is almost complete, but i'm far from educated as my real learnings starts now after the bachelor.
I wish and cross my fingers so so so much!

Hi Patrick, Lee & Lauren !
Looking forward to see you in the Bahamas. Pye's 101 or 201 classes would be amazing for my starting wedding photography business.

Thank you for making such an amazing event happen !!

I would love to attend to Pye & Justin – LIN AND JIRSA’S WEDDING & PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHY 201 – EXPANDING YOUR VISION. As a wedding photographer I think this is the most important workshop. I just wonder what awesome things I would be able to learn with them :D

I am definetly most interested in Rob Grimm with his Workshop "SHOOTING BEER, LIQUOR, DRINKS, & LIQUIDS FOR COMMERCIAL ADVERTISING". Bahamas would be so much fun!

Aaron Nace – Photography & Compositing Essentials

Peter Hurley workshop would be great to attend. Shebang!!!

Peter Hurley in the Bahamas
SHABANG !!
I'm ready :-)

My first choice Julia Kuzmenko McKim's Beauty Studio Photography & Retouching class! The 2nd would be Pye & Justin's Wedding & Portrait Photograpy :)

Peter Hurley's Illuminating the Face and interior/exterior architectural photography with Mike Kelley or Dave Dugdale.

Please pick me for PYE & JUSTIN – LIN AND JIRSA’S WEDDING & PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHY 101 and 201 Photography Workshop In the Bahamas. A Dream come true I Hope :0)

Julia Kuzmenko McKim - Beauty Studio Photography & Retouching

Matthew Jordan Smith, Peter Hurley and Julia Kuzmenko McKim

Aaron Nace – Photography & Compositing Essentials, and Joey Wright – On Location Swimwear Photography :-)

It's very hard to choose from all these amazing instructors! But seeing where I want my photography to go "Julia Kuzmenko McKim - Beauty Studio Photography & Retouching" and "Joey Wright - On Location Swimwear Photography" are two I'd love to take

Monte Isom is amazing. I wanna learn from him and be a commercial photographer like him.

It would be fantastic to win a flight and workshop at the Bahamas workshop. The particular workshop I would like to attend is Pye & Justin - Lin and Jirsa's Wedding & Portrait Photography 101. It would also be brilliant to meet the other presenters most of which I follow on youtube.

I jumped into product photography last year and absolutely love it. I have watched tutorial after tutorial, but nothing would help me and my business more than taking Rob Grimm's Studio Lighting for Commercial Product and Editorial Still Life class in the Bahamas. Not only would I leave with enough knowledge to last me a life time, but my skills in photography would flourish!

ERIK VALIND – ON-LOCATION PORTRAITURE AND LIFESTYLE PHOTOGRAPHY and MATTHEW JORDAN SMITH – FASHION PHOTOGRAPHY

Mike Kelley rocks! I would love to visit his classes.

Joey Wright's On location swimwear photography and Erik Valind's On-Location Portraiture and Lifestyle Photography

Hello, my name is Wouter and I live in Belgium. For almost 2 years I focus mainly on composite photography. I follow Aaron Nace and almost have all of his pro tutorials. Obviously I would love to follow one of his workshops because I still have a lot to learn and it would be a unique opportunity to meet him in real life.

Because I live in Belgium it is not possible for me to go to the Bahamas because it is too expensive for me. So if I could go thanks to Fstoppers I would thank you guys for the rest of my life.

I'd really like to learn from Mike Kelley because I love his style. I think that food and beverage photography workshop by Rob Grimm could really help my photography business at now! Btw every photographer and workshop seems really amazing!

I would love to the Bahamas! I've never really been too far out of my own country of Canada. Bahamas would be amazing! I would love to learn from JULIA KUZMENKO MCKIM :) I would also love JOEY WRIGHT as I specialize in Boudoir and can always learn more.

I am most interested in Pye's wedding classes, as that is the main focus of my business. I'd be happy to learn from anyone at the workshop though!

Any of the instructors would be highly educational, for me especially Eric Valind, Aaron Nace, Peter Hurley, or Mike Kelley. A once in a lifetime experience for sure.....

I would love to win a workshop and flight to the Bahamas workshops
JOEY WRIGHT – ON LOCATION SWIMWEAR PHOTOGRAPHY 5/13
ROB GRIMM – STUDIO LIGHTING FOR COMMERCIAL PRODUCT & EDITORIAL STILL LIFE – 5/13

Instead of all the beautiful models and impressive faces I could have in front of my camera, I'd like to attend Mike Kelley's - Shooting and Compositing Light Painted Interiors and Exteriors

Joey Wright's On Location Swimwear Photography of course!

Julia Kuzmenko McKim - Beauty Studio Photography & Retouching - More for the retouching than the photography part.

I would love to participate to any one of the great workshops. Particularly ones from: Joey Wright, Julia Kuzmenko, Peter Hurley.

I would love to participate to any one of the great workshops. Particularly ones from: Joey Wright, Julia Kuzmenko, Peter Hurley.

Most helpful would be expanding my vision on wedding photography with PYE JIRSA but I also love head shots and sports. It would be a blast to be there with so many people who love photography.

Mike Kelley and Peter Hurley - Both their tutorials thru Fstoppers have helped me shape my business as specializing in architecture and commercial head-shots. Learning even more from them on-site and in-person would be an amazing opportunity.

The one class I would want to attend is "Aaron Nace - Photography & Compositing Essentials" In today's photography world being able to use photoshop and composite well is a huge advantage and something that many photographers are quickly adapting. Being able to composite and photoshop really well will really improve my level of photography and my business value.

Another class I would really like to attend and will really help bring my business and photography skill to the next level would be Erik Valind - On-Location Portraiture and Lifestyle Photography class. Many clients in today's age want you to come to them and being able to correctly and successfully light on location is extremely important.

I would love to take the Aaron Nace - Photography & Compositing Essentials 5/13 class!

I'd really love to learn more about compositing and the photography needed for it. With compositing you can do anything your mind makes up. And besides that i think Aaron will be a really happy, funny workshop instructor.

Erik Valind's class.. I'd really love that

Julia Kuzmenko McKim - Beauty Studio Photography & Retouching
