Simply leave a comment on this post below to enter (all comments require an Fstoppers account which you can sign up for here).  Each comment should tell us which instructor you would like to learn from and which class would help your photography business the most.  Any comments that are negative, vulgar, or not mentioning a class they are interested in will be disqualified. Also make sure that your profile is relatively completed, we will not choose an empty account as a winner

2: Twitter

To enter our Twitter contest, simply follow @Fstoppers and tweet the following message between now and March 19th:

About the workshop

So what is the Fstoppers Workshops?  This year between May 13-17 we will have 10 of the top educational photographers each teaching two, 2-day workshops.  The courses being taught include all sorts of genres including Fashion, Beauty, Headshots, Weddings, Architecture and Interiors, Swimwear, Commercial and Advertising, and everything in-between.  Each class is very small with only 10-20 students which makes this experience not only super hands on but also extremely personal. You can check out all the instructors and classes being taught on the Workshop Class Page.

What makes the Fstoppers Workshops so unique from other workshops is it is held at the amazing Atlantis Resort.  Atlantis is home to one of the largest water parks in the world, several amazing 5 star restaurants, mulitple bars and night clubs, dolphin and water excursions, and a huge casino.  Since every student is staying in this one resort, this workshop makes it super easy to not only make new friends but also makes for a great learning environment where students and teachers can hangout after each class has wrapped up for the day.  So no matter if you are looking to build a vacation with your significant other, family, or friends, this workshop is the perfect mix of work and pleasure.  Check out some of the fun stuff Lee and I did at Atlantis during our down time in the video below.

Last year's event was an amazing experience, and it has been unbelievable seeing how these courses have affected the photographers who have attended.  If you have any questions about the 2015 Fstoppers Workshops in general, head over to our FAQ Page on the Workshop Page or check out the FAQ video Lee and I created below.  Good luck to everyone and hopefully we will see you down in paradise!

There are a few I would love to experience! Peter Hurley- The Headshot Intensive 5/16-17, Matthew Jordan Smith- Fashion Photography on Location, 5/16, or Aaron Nace – Photography & Compositing Essentials 5/13. Thanks guys! *fingers crossed*

Honestly from what I learned so far as a photographer is that I can take something learned in one area and apply it to others. This would be no different from learning from these professional instructors. I could take any class and learn a lot. I shoot a variety of everything currently as a student working for Creative services at my university so one day i'll be shooting portraits and the next interior and exterior of the buildings on campus. Given a opportunity like this would go above and beyond the possibilities that it would help improving my work.

I'd like to take Aaron Nace's compositing class.

Pye & Justin - Lin and Jirsa's Wedding & Portrait Photography 101 and/ or 201

I would love to win Lin & Jirsa's "Wedding and Portrait Photography" or Joey Wright's "On Location Swimwear" workshop.

Already signed up for Pye's 101 would love to extend by stay for the 201

I'd love to be at the Portraiture and Lifestyle photography class with Erik Valind and learn from him!

I'd love a chance to win this! - www.aaronleistphotography.com

Mike Kelley - Shooting and Compositing Light Painted Interiors and Exteriors

Interior photography with Mike Kelly. Amazing results

Swimwear photography with joey wright. Getting to see his attention to detail and use of ambient light would really beneficial to my photography. Ive mostly shot indoors with only strobes and stepping outdoors has been challenging.I Would love to learn how he goes about shooting outdoors in harsh conditions and still get these amazing photos that he produces. Also cant ignore the fact that his retouching is amazing. Being an amateur retoucher myself. I would love to get some feedback of some of my work and get some techniques to improve. Thanks!!!

Julia's workshop

Any courses :-) just any. I am very open :-) I just still can't find myself. Friends of mine like my photo and I would like to win just to know to do or not :-) and I think in my case any courses will be SUPER!

Pye & Justin - Lin and Jirsa's Wedding & Portrait Photography 101 - The Ultimate Foundation. Love Pye's teaching style

Rob Grimm: "Shooting beer, liquor, drinks and liquids for commercial advertising"

I was too late to book my spot for Pye & Justin – Lin and Jirsa’s Wedding & Portrait Photography 201 – Expanding Your Vision. I really hope I get lucky with this awesome competition.

I'm going for free :-)

PYE JIRSA I would love to learn more about wedding photography, I follow you all the way in El Salvador, Central America :)

I would love to take a class with Erik Valind! On Location Portraiture & Lifestyle Photography

Architectural Photography with Mike Kelley!

Peter Hurley Amazing!, her hability to get the connection is awesome

I would love to learn from Aaron Nace and Monte Isom. Either one of their classes would be a huge help for the direction I'm trying to move into.

My first choice would be Aaron Nace. I love his style and would love to see it first hand. 2nd class would be Peter Hurley as I could really improve my portrait skills..

Without a doubt, Joey Wright's workshop would be the most helpful workshop to attend! I can't believe that he's teaching a workshop. Wow! I think it would be the most helpful because, as the saying goes, "Shoot what you love", well weddings aside, what I love is the ocean and travel, and learning from Joey would be a once in a lifetime opportunity!

Underwater photography

I would love love to take Pye and Justin's Portrait and wedding Photography 101 and 201 workshop!! I've been shooting weddings for years and have been self taught, this is not an easy task. I need this class to advance me to where I'd like to be in my career, my passion is to create amazing images! I know I'll be able to do this with their amazing knowledge and skills!!

Peter Hurley

Erik Valind's On-Location Portraiture and Lifestyle Photography. I love photographing people and making them happy with my photographs. I believe that this workshop will help me more, and make more people happy and confident with themselves.

Erik Valind's class looks like a lot of fun, and is more closely related to the type of work that interests me.

I would like to attend a workshop with Pye Jirsa

I think Peter Hurley's Headshot workshop would be a blast as well as Aaron Nace's compositing workshop.

I would select Matthew Jordan Smith and Julia Kuzmenko McKim.

Aaron Nace and Photography & Compositing Essentials 5/13 & 6/13, Because Phlearn <3

Shooting and Compositing Light Painted Interiors and Exteriors with Mike Kelley and Erik Valind's class on Location Portraiture and Lifestyle Photography.

I would love to attend Pye' s and Julia's courses!

I would like to attend to Rob Grimm - Shooting Beer, Liquor, Drinks, & Liquids For Commercial Advertising, and Joey Wright - On Location Swimwear Photography classes

Peter Hurley and Aaron Nace are my favorite.Love to learn more from them

Most helpful workshops for me would be Commercial product & editorial still life with Rob Grimm and Interiors & exteriors with Mike Kelley. Fingers crossed!

It is a simple pick...Peter Hurley – The Headshot Intensive 5/16 & 5/17!! He is the master headshot person!!

I would like to learn from Julia Kuzmenko McKim it is rare to find color as vivid as Julia and to do it using light. The emotions on the Fashion plays a big role in the every day lives of people. It is our way of expressing our emotions whether we feel chic and classic all the way to punk Rock and rebellion. I want to see what Julia sees when finding light and its angles.

I'm a big fan of all the presenters, but I especially enjoy Erik Valind. I'm looking forward to attending the workshop. I hope I win so that I can attend two!

Illuminating the Face with Peter Hurley! Ready to take it to the next level!

Well this would be awesome! Julia Kuzmenko McKim's Beauty Studio photography And Peter Hurley

I would be over the moon to win a class with Aaron Nace and the Phlearn crew! As a wedding photographer, I think learning more about compositing, lighting, and editing would give me a chance to create powerful, one of a kind images for my clients. The only limit is my own imagination! I'm registered for 201 with Pye and Justin, so I think with these two classes I'd be coming back to Tennessee an entirely inspired and new artist.

Would love to go to Julia Kuzmenko McKim - Beauty Studio Photography & Retouching 5/13 and I'm already signed up for Pye and Justin's class.

Studio Lighting for Commercial Product & Editorial Still Life with Rob Grimm.
