Watch How They Filmed This Incredible Audemars Piguet Ad With Gold in Every Form

Have you ever wondered what it takes to film detail shots of a product? If you haven't ever tried it, you may not fully appreciate all of the effort that goes into every second of this footage. Luckily, we get an insider's look at what it really takes.

Cokau Lab was hired by Audemars Piguet to film a tv spot for their new gold watch collection, Royal Oak. The basic premise was to film gold in multiple forms and compare it to other types of nature side-by-side. This may sound simple, but the finished ad is unbelievable.

If you simply watched the final edit above, you might have assumed that the majority of the footage was CGI. Luckily for us, they also produced a behind-the-scenes video that gives us a little glimpse at just how much effort went into filming every second.
