All entries must be made between now and Friday January 18th, 2013 at 11:59 pm US Eastern Time. One "semi finalist" from each of the three platforms will be randomly picked. One of those three names will be randomly picked from a Nikon Coffee mug as the lucky winner! What is the grand prize?
The flight and hotel will be covered by Fstoppers (up to a maximum of $3000). Make sure you can schedule time off from whatever you might be doing between March 1st - 8th. The trip is non refundable if you are not able to attend in which case a random semi finalist will be chosen to take your place. Gulf Photo Plus is supplying a winner with an all access workshop pass for any workshops that have availability.

Holy cow, I have never won anything in my entire life. Mostly because I have never wanted anything as bad as this. You guys rock and this would be a dream come true.

When inquired as to why photo essayist W. Eugene Smith did not restrain the period of time allotted to a work even if he thought he was a failing he responded he considered the failings "a going to school".
I also love how he answered the following questions:
Q-.."what if the photographer does not have the financial means" [to vest himself in such a consuming project?]
A- I will advise them not to do it, and will hope they do.
Q- What if nobody sees it? Besides a few friends?
A- Answer that and you will see how artist have acted throughout the bloody ages. The goal is the work itself.

I had the chance to visit Dubai when I was stationed in UAE with the US Air Force. It was a beautiful city, but I didn't really get to explore much of it due to restrictions from the military. I would LOVE to visit again and really get to see the city as well as learn from some of the best photographers in the world at GPP!
Never stop learning and never stop enjoying your life. It's the amazing experiences that matter most!
