B&H is offering a great deal on the X-Rite ColorMunki Display for today only. Originally priced at $169.00, B&H's price for the day is $119.00.
X-Rite's new ColorMunki Display is a state of the art solution that delivers amazing accurate display and projector profiles. To satisfy creative professionals alike, the color calibrator is designed with ease at use in mind. With the quick flip of the arm, you can switch from display mode to projector mode instantly. The wizard driven software interface makes it easy for anyone who is new to calibrating screen color. No matter what type of display you have, whether a LCD, LED, Standard, or Wide Gamut, ColorMunki display achieves exceptional results in a few steps. ColorMunki software offers two user modes: Easy and Advanced. Easy Mode is entirely wizard driven. On screen prompts, step by step illustrations, and how to videos make it easy for the user right out of the box. Advanced Mode is similar to Easy Mode, but provides the user with predefined options to give more control of color. X-Rite's automatic display control speeds up the process by automating brightness, contrast, and color temperature.
If you're not working in ideal viewing conditions, ColorMunki's unique color display technology can help. Unwanted reflections or stray light can affect how you perceive color. Color perception can be even more difficult on a glossy screen. X-rite's Flare Correct automatically compensates for this directly in the color profile. Room lighting can also affect the way you perceive color, Ambient Smart Control will alert the user when conditions change or will automatically make color adjustments for you. As a result, you will have accurate color, even in the most challenging working conditions. When the process is complete, you can view before and after sample images to ensure you are satisfied with the results.
If you have been meaning to calibrate your screen, but just haven't had the time to get around to it, today just might be the day.
And a $30 rebate on top of that.
anybody use for NEC lcd displays?
You can use this with any monitor.
X-rite also has a free app that allows you to use this unit to also calibrate any tablet or phone screen. Much to my dismay, I can't use my (supposedly higher-end) ColotMunki Display unit with that app, but if you get one of these you can.
