Photography, just like any other creative pursuit, is prone to encouraging certain habits. Some of those can be quite beneficial, and some of those will likely hold you back. This excellent video discusses 12 habits that every photographer should have: what they are, why they are beneficial, and how to implement them in your process.
Coming to you from Saurav Sinha, this fantastic video details 12 beneficial habits that will make you a better photographer. Of those listed, I think one of the most important is to never stop learning and by extension, to always keep growing, exploring, and experimenting. It is easy, particularly once you are proficient and feel confident, to simply fall into a certain way of working and to produce the same sort of work. That is perfectly fine, particularly if you are running a business and your work is bringing in a good income. On the other hand, though, the beauty of any creative pursuit is that there is always more to learn, more to practice, and new creative avenues to explore, and if you truly love photography, you are doing yourself a disservice by not constantly pushing yourself to grow. Check out the video above for the full rundown from Sinha.
