Landscape photography is a genre that takes the confluence of many factors to create a successful image, and a mistake in any of those factors can throw off the entire process. This excellent video discusses five common mistakes landscape photographers make and how you can fix them.
Coming to you from Photo Tom, this great video discusses five mistakes landscape photographers commonly make and what you can do to fix them. Of the errors, the two I have found myself most commonly falling into are photographing everything and trying to include too much in a wide angle shot. I have found I tend to come home with much better photos if I spend a lot of time carefully working at just a single location or two. Furthermore, it can be very tempting to just slap a wide angle lens on the front of your camera and take in the entire scene, but there are also much stronger compositions to be found by cropping in a bit.
