One of the most common mistakes I see new landscape photographers make is simply over-processing their photos. One of the wonderful things about landscape photography is that any frame can be taken many different directions depending on how you decide to edit it, but that being said, it is generally good to err on the side of doing less, particularly when it comes to color. There is a fine line between vibrant and over-saturated and gaudy, and as powerful as most editing programs are, it can be easy to cross it.
