Ignite Your Creativity With '28 to Make' on CreativeLive

Every creative has at least once in his or her career hit a wall and felt down. Breaking through a creative slump isn't always easy. But sometimes, what feels like a creative burnout is actually an accumulation of unproductive bad habits. Creative Live has a way for you to get out of it.

While I was watching my YouTube subscriptions the other day, I stumbled upon a recent video Chase Jarvis created. If you haven't watched Chase's videos, you should definitely go to his channel and subscribe. Every week, he publishes a new one with very insightful tips or opinions that might help photographers and other creatives. But, back to the video I watched the other day: It was called "Ignite your Creative Mojo [...here's how!]" and was probably just what I needed to see at the time.

As Chase explains, a free course has been available on CreativeLive since the beginning of February, and anyone can attend it. There is one video to watch per day with a quick assignment that will force you to create something every day. The goal is to make it a habit that will in turn help you become more creative.

Every week will have a different theme to keep things interesting and develop different inspiration sources. While some tasks may seem weird or not quite helpful at first, you might find yourself actually enjoying doing them and wanting to redo them later on. I personally used to draw a lot when I was a kid, but do not so much anymore. The first week being about drawing everyday objects made me want to start drawing again.

If your schedule is crazy busy, don't worry, this will only take you 15-30 minutes per day. Best of all, it will help you learn to take the time; at least, it helped me do that. So, with no excuses not to, at least give it a try for a week. Head over to CreativeLive and RSVP for the class to get access to the already online videos and class material.
