Want to Try Landscape Photography? Here's What You Need to Know

Landscape photography can be an incredibly rewarding genre for professionals and hobbyists alike, but just like any other genre, it has its own considerations, techniques, and gear you should know about. If you are ready to get started in landscape photography, this fantastic video will get you up and running in no time.

Coming to you from Mark Denney, this excellent video will show you what you need to know in you are new to landscape photography. The thing I love about landscape work is how it combines simply being in nature and getting some exercise with photography. A lot of the time, I think of it less as a shoot and more as a hike with my camera. It is probably the most total experience I have involving my camera. One important thing to remember is that while wide angle lenses are often the optic of choice in landscape work, you can create just as compelling images by isolating single elements with a telephoto, so be sure to experiment with both. Check out the video above for the full rundown.
