Paynes Prairie State Park in Gainesville, Florida is home to a small herd of wild horses. I went out hiking in a light rain storm one afternoon and sat with the herd for quite a while. When the rain stopped for a bit, the horses started running right in front of me for no apparent reason (at least, that I could see.) I arbitrarily cranked down my shutter speed as quickly as I could and shot a handful of over-exposed images of this mother and her foal. They looks uselessly blown-out in-camera, but thanks to the magic of a modern sensor, I was able to recover the colors and textures in the files. I personally really dig the level of blur that came from the [randomly-dialed-in] 1/15th sec. shutter speed.
