Hey Luca. This isn't a poor mountain bike image but could be better. First for me the shooting position is off. I have never been to Rampage but I know you sometimes can't get to the best shooting positions (depending on if a spectator or credentialed media and even then its probably tough). Around to the left for the 360 would be better because lets face it, its a butt photo. Also, his position in the frame I feel he is getting lost in the background rocks to me. And last, would you still like the photo if it wasn't Zink?
Thanks for the comment. Even credentialed media is still so limited. I knew I wanted to shoot this head on to really show the size of it. I wish I could have shot this further left but it would have been at a lower perspective that I think wouldn't have shown the craziness and size of it as much. Zinks an animal, and this for sure proves it!
Ya, Red Bull is real tight on their events at times. They have their own Red Bull Media site which is basically a wire service of shots from their photogs. They do have some amazing photogs (A friend of mine is one).
I hope to get my 14 year old son to Rampage one day, as a spectator though. Just to chill, enjoy the event and also get some riding in out west.
