I know what you're thinking. This is a city-scape, not a landscape. But the city is 9000yrs old - and the building are primarily terraformed out of the mountains. So I'm going to call it a landscape.
The area is called Matera, Italy. And it's the third oldest "city" in the world, and the only one that's been continuously inhabited for 9000 years. (Oldest is Aleppo, then Jericho). It sits on top of this natural double valley. And "on top" is a stretch – as the city is litteraly dug into the valley hill sides, with building like "facades" in front of the caves. Being 9000 years old though - you have various stages of building all around the region. The obvious outlier in this image is the Church "Matera Cathedral" at the very top of the valley walls.
The day we visited was completely overcast and cloud covered the whole day. All except this morning at about 6am, just as the sun was rising.
i like the pic, just would like to be maybe more contrasty, and work on sky to give more material in the sky . my taste only of course.
