My trip to Scotland was incredible for tons of reasons, not least of which the amazing Sigma 14mm Art that I was trying out for the first time. This roadtrip in particular, along the A82 towards Oban, really showcased its abilities. This photo really accentuates one factor I hadn't considered when dreaming about the 14mm Art - ultra wide angle compositions are hard! In this case, I really wanted to gentle curve to play its part in the composition, so I had to crop this to a super wide aspect ratio to remove the loads of foreground that I got in-frame.
I love that monochrome allows me to really focus on the tones and mood of a scene - situations like this, with sporadic rain showers, are some of my favorites to shoot in!
