You really need to shoot in this location during the early morning or late afternoon to avoid the super-harsh midday light. Not to mention all that light isn't hitting your subject at all.
How was this color graded? I see you were trying to make if feel like fall but I still see a lot of green. Minnesota would have more than one shade of red as well. We get varying yellows and reds based on the tree species. I agree with Phillip about the light not being on the subject. My eye keeps going to the weeds and tree branches that are moving in to the frame.
