You should be cautious when playing selectively with colors. The desaturation of the background created a bad looking border with a weird blue/green area on top of the left piece of meat, and you also have ultra-saturated purple spots (top left, and top of the right piece). So after playing with these tools, it is good to take time to check that no weird stuff happened (looking in details at every part of the image). Sometimes, if you want to go so far with the controls, some software like Photoshop is required to make use of masks.
