3.26 - "Solid"

This shot was for a real estate listing in Key West. I used a blend of ambient, flash pops, and light painting. I used a B10 with a collapsible beauty dish to take multiple pops from the house. I then used the B10 bare with the continuous light to paint a little bit of light into the trees closest to the house.

A very solid image that is well composed and lit.
All the technicals are strong.
Given how still the water was it would have been interesting to feature more of the home in the reflection, that would also show more of the pool, as a different way to show the home and still anchor it in the green space.
The lighting is ample but not over done and the over all feel is just enough "fantasy" to be intriguing without going too far.
Good work Rocky.

Thank you Julian, not " going too far" was exactly what I was think of when putting this together. I shoot a lot of twilights with pools. Next time I will take your advice and use the pool reflection a little more. In this case however, I think I would have disrupted the balance by stepping back and including more of the pool. The pool and the empty deck space would become half of the image and I would loose the intimacy I was going after with a tighter crop.

Great composition on a beautiful house it would make a great picture for the local MLS - Postcards etc
