2.16 - "Needs Work"

I was in another portfolio shoot of her friend who is a musician and She had watching all the movements of our 3 hour photo shoot. She came to me and introduced herself and asked my availability of a shoot in next day morning. Unfortunately there was another product catelog shoot which was planned since morning 8.30 AM. so I explained her the situation and asked her to come to the studio before 8.30 AM. Had no idea to charge her but she paid me the rate of 3 hour session just for 1 hour.

This image was shot at the roof top of the studio. used single Speed light + 120 cm reflector with Nikon D810 Camera.

Is your rate then 670 dollars per hour?

Hello Patrick, story is different in Sri Lanka as the Dollar amount is high compared to LKR (Sri Lankan Rupee, 1 USD = 179.24 LKR). I charge client based on 3 factors basically.

1. Type of Project
2. Number of Hours
3. Number of Lights and other Equipments used.

So for this shot I used only my own gears.

1. Single Speed Light - Pixel Pro
2. 16 Inch Beauty dish
3. 120 cm Reflector
4. Nikon D810
5. Nikkor 50 mm 1.8G

So technically I invested only my time for this shoot and were able to earn 35,000 LKR in 1 hour.(Also please note that 35,000LKR is an average rate of a photographer's in Sri Lanka for maximum of 2 or 3 Hours.)

its nice but needs texture.
