I have took much more "pleasing to the eye" images than this with obvious subjects such as a lighthouse with the sun setting behind it, or a the famous lone tree in Snowdonia (which everyone photographs)! the reason this one has been uploaded is that I did not have a clue what composition I was going to shoot as I entered the woods in North Wales. It is my favourite image to date due to its originality.
It is not sharp front to back due to the moderate winds, but the main trunk intersecting its companion is pin sharp which shows strength, almost as if its keeping the woodland stable in unstable conditions.
