I like the concept of this shot thought there are two things for me that keep it from being a 3:
Firstly the composition is off. Not only is she not entered in the from, she is not centered in the light triangle behind her. Secondly although the practical provides a nice rim light, the rest is lit quite flat. Theres no shadow under her nose or chin so those parts are lacking dimension. A speedlite bounced from the ceiling (if there is any in that location) might have given that little pop instead of the direct camera-flash (guessed from the small and entered catchlights).
Took this at a meet in a all black room with 40 other people, no flash, Im also a rebel and dont think every frame should be perfectly centered. Its a mood shot. Not a perfectly lit, perfectly composed shot.
To each their own. I'm just stating what I think would improve the shot for me.
Would be interesting to know where the catchlights come from. I've only seen small centered ones either with the inbuilt flash or when standing at the end of a tunnel or such.
