I appreciate the simplistic background so much. My focus is on the red. Maybe my monitor but the flower looks just a little out of focus. I happen to like that with this image. I would like to see a little of the empty space at the top cropped off to lift the flower a little in the image. I think that could raise it to a 4 star image. Maybe a little lighter on the shadow, but that may hurt the feeling of the image.

a bit better than the fullframe rose, as andy says a very bit more focus would be nice. not a definite image for a portfolio but not by far. so i am giving it a 3 because i rated the other one 2 :)
