Long-time viewer of CTC, first submission. I've been doing musical instrument product photography for a few years now, and while this isn't necessarily my best photo ever, this was the last photo I took before I was sent home from work to self-isolate. This photo is 1 of a series of 10, and was supposed to be the cover shot for a 20-page catalog featuring Gibson guitars. But sadly, since all stores across the country have been closed down due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all store promotions and all advertising have been pulled, including the printing of this catalog. This photo and others in the series were supposed to be seen by about 300,000 people, but now never will, so I hope by submitting it here, it'll at least be viewed by a few people (or more) that would appreciate it.

Like it. Very nice.

Thanks Jim!

Wow, are you shooting for Gibson or for another musical outlet? My Les Paul looks almost exactly like this but without the pickguard and the pot markers. Always have a heart for honeybursts and tobacco burst les pauls.

Hey Patrick, nice to see you comment on one of my shots! I'm shooting for Long & McQuade Musical Instruments, the Guitar Center equivalent up here in Canada. Long & McQuade's sister company is Yorkville Sound, which is both a manufacturer of pro audio gear and guitar amps under the Traynor brand, and Yorkville also distributes Gibson across Canada. So Long & McQuade, Yorkville and Gibson are very tightly knit.

This shot was for the cover of our "Gibson Month" promo that was supposed to be in April, and all marketing materials were completed, but the whole promo was canned due to coronavirus.

I thought I had this photo titled, but it appears not. It's a 2020 Gibson Les Paul Standard '50s AAA Top in Iced Tea Burst. This guitar is actually an exclusive finish for L&M in Canada, and the guitar guys went down to Gibson USA to hand-select the maple tops for these guitars. I was supposed to go down to Nashville this July to shoot in the Gibson factory, but again, cancelled. :(

Your guitar sounds like it'd be more like this one from my portfolio (which I've just started adding photos to): https://fstoppers.com/photo/471840

Anyways I could talk guitars all day. Thanks for checking this out!
