"I just join these for fun. The ratings are typically hit or miss. I don’t ever really expect to get high marks. I’ve had some pretty basic images rated high, then some pretty solid images rated super low. The fact is, people aren’t really going by the rating system or they’re not understanding the rating system." ~Tyler Schwab~

If you wanna know the story behing this DM me. I expect something like 1.8 anyway (HAHAHA same F stop as the photo)
I'll just ignore the trolls from now on.

ISO-125 F/1.8 1/125 sec Manual 85mm. (self portrait)

I don't think many people have stopped to actually look at this photo deeply and think about what is being said. Highly processed photos are what seems to be most popular on this forum. Street photography, photojournalism, and other "gritty" photography less dependent on post processing are, unfortunately, not popular... or may I say, generally, that they are misunderstood. So you are correct in ignoring the trolls. Hopefully you will get some actual written feedback from time to time... which is also unfortunately rare on this forum. My comment here is that this photo tells a story of the boredom of being an artist in our times. To me this photo shows a bored artist... camera (switched on!) in hand, the paint cans relating to the paint on the wall, the bold but subdued colors. The bar-like framework on the window like a jail yet it's open and beckoning to the artist who is taking some solace in alcohol wishing to be out there doing his thing. Even the curved line (chair back) at the bottom gives a little upset to the environment. I think this is a far better photo than anyone realizes.

I tried my best to tell a story and bring out some emotion, Thanks for looking into it. 1 comment made the 400 pictures and 11 hours worth it. Thank you! 😅
