I love the use of slate to provide texture and detail. Focus and is tack sharp where it needs to be and falls off at an appropriate rate to draw me back into the image.
Could the direction of light have been moved camera right and lower to reduce shadow? I'm drawn as much to the angular shadow to the left of your subject as much as I am the subject itself.
Thank you for your kind words! Yes, the shadow on the left is quite apparent If I moved the light I would have to move the pendant as well because it would be then in the shadow on the right. It was a rather quick shoot and I did not give it too much attention, I admit. Thanks for the feedback!
