This beautiful Red Shouldered Hawk would land on our back fence as the fence was a high point so he could survey his surroundings.
Over around 3 years, I sat out in the back garden trying to gain this wild birds trust so he would allow me to take some pictures getting closer and closer to him
'Stanley' as the Wife and I named him would almost always be bothered by a Mockingbird, trying to scare Stanley away..
This particular evening, Stanley sat on the fence with the Mockingbird bothering him as usual.. and just glanced at me as I pressed the shutter with that look of desperation..
