I had originally planned on taking pictures of the Perseid meteor shower this night. The skies weren't great, but I figured I'd give it a go. On the way to the location, I started seeing a lot of distant lightning reflecting off the clouds ahead. I decided to forego the meteors, and pulled into a scenic overlook that was along the way. For the next hour or so I was treated to a spectacular lightning storm in the distance. Here are 3 images from that unforgettable night.Taken in New Jersey, looking out towards the Delaware Water Gap.
