Blue hour on a stormy Christmas Eve, west coast of New Zealand 2017. Manual exposure blend of two bracketed long exposures. I had planned well in advance to be here when sunset coincided with low tide, fierce waves were breaking further out and rushing through the channels in the rocks. The stormy conditions resulted in a decent but not amazing sunset, however after the sun had set the whole place had a really moody ethereal feel which we stuck around for. This image was shortlisted in the Landscape category of the 2020 British Photography Awards.
