I took this in the BWCA. It wasn't a difficult shot. 30 seconds @ f/2.8. I was still happy with it. It has some stars in it but they are not the main focus. The embers coming off the fire steal the show.

Ah yes, the Boundary Waters Canoe Area wilderness. Took a turn through there with the Boy Scouts about 10 years ago. I see that only one of your subjects is wearing mosquito netting. Maybe the campfire was keeping them away. Nice shot.
Thanks. Actually none of us had bug nets. My buddy on the left moved just a little so his hoodie doubled up in the exposure. This site was on a small bluff so the slight breeze was keeping the bugs away. It also wasn't bad this year regardless.
