This was a fun photo to make with my daughter. I love her expression and looks great printed on metal (18"x32").
Just one light and then a bunch of photoshop to add the light in the lantern, the snow (we shot inside) and make the colors pop.

I think you did a pretty great job, love this. The only thing that distracts from the overall image, in my very subjective opinion, is the purpleness of the skin. But at the same time it doesn't seem like you were going for a more fantasy-esque feel, so this is 100% just me. I'd love to try this myself sometime!
Thanks for the opinion. I do see what you mean and on the print it is not so bad but on the hand holding the ski it really stands out for some reason.
In all honesty, I was so excited with the initial turnout I got it done right away. Had I walked away for an hour or two I am sure I would have toned it back somet.

Sure, but I hope it doesn't detract from your enjoyment of the piece. Again, looking at this through the frame of more of a fantasy I think it works well. In fact the more I think of it, more natural skin tones might look odd if that was the only thing you changed.
