Long Shadows at The Colosseum
This image from Rome was taken in 2012, with the Nikon COOLPIX P510, an ultrazoom (42x) bridge camera. This was my camera, 5 cameras ago, and the reason I choose the Nikon system when selecting my first DSLR and subsequent camera bodies. The images I was able to bring home from this trip wowed me, the colors and sharpness, plus the ease of use sold me on Nikon.
I edited this image this week using Capture One 23. I spent some time on it and I'd say I did a lot of adjusting and tweaking, besides the basic slider adjustments, I created three additional layers - Blur Face, Lighten Colosseum, and Burn. I used Levels, Curve, Straighten, Crop, Black & White Color Sliders, Clarity, Dehaze and added a Vignette. I removed the the default Noise Reduction and Sharpening and added a slight amount of Harsh Grain.
