In Audubon Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary near Naples, Florida, the flooded areas often reveal relatively clear water lying over dark bottoms. This combination creates nature's own mirror. Looking down in the water, it's possible to see the leaves and other debris floating on the surface, the reflection of the cypress trees that tower over the scene, and, oftentimes, the open sky. Photograph by Bill Blanton. Nikon D500, Nikkor DX 17-55mm, f/2.8. Processed in Adobe Camera Raw and PhotoShop. Current camera is Nikon Z8.
