I shot this for my friend this past weekend in preparation for his upcoming retirement as a Colonel in the United States Marine Corps. He's truly one of the most dedicated, intelligent, fearless, yet kindest men I've ever known. It was an honor for me to be asked to take his final portrait in uniform.

Shot with a Nikon Z8 and an 85mm f/1.8 Z lens. Settings were 1/200 sec at f/5.6 and ISO 64. Lighting consisted of 2 Godox V1 flashes and an LED strip light for highlights on the left side of his head. Background has a foldable backdrop from Kate backdrops, and two flags that were purchased on Amazon clipped to it.
