I took this portrait of a theatre actor Mateusz in 2023 in my living room in Warsaw, Poland.

I used the original Olympus OM-D E-M10 mark I with the 12-40 2.8 lens. The photo was lit only with strobes. There were 2 rim light (one hard, bare strobe and one in a stripbox), 1 main with a grid, 1 fill and a whole bunch of Yongnuo speedlights with different color gels shoot through a gobo acting as background lights. It was then processed in C1, mostly to increase contrast and to adjust the white balance.

The most challenging thing was the worn-out camera body - the grip actually fell off during the photoshoot. 😂 It was then when I decided it was time to replace my camera. I moved to FF since then, but sometimes I still miss the depth of field m43 gave me - it was so easy to make the entire head sharp without the need of using super powerful strobes.

Fabulous portrait, there is almost a surreal feel which I love.
